I strongly recommend primary childhood immunizations, on schedule. This is not because of some appeal to authority, it is because I personally believe (based on significant thoughtful understanding) the benefits of primary immunizations far outweigh the risks. If you do not trust my medical opinion, you should take your child to another doctor who you feel like you can trust. I will not see unimmunized children in my practice.
Many parents who refuse immunizations for their children continue to be my patients. I fully support your parental rights to refuse immunizations if you take your child to a different doctor. I will not allow this difference in thought process to affect our doctor-patient relationship.
